On September 20th, 2016, a joint investigation between the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force and the McGehee Police Department resulted in the arrest of a McGehee resident, and the seizure of methamphetamine and prescription narcotics.
Task Force Agents and McGehee Police Department’s Criminal Investigator received information that Walker Smith, age 35, of McGehee, was transporting narcotics. Smith was located and stopped by a patrol officer and investigators, who located a substantial quantity of methamphetamine, along with schedule II prescription narcotics and marijuana inside a hidden container in the vehicle.
Smith was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, 2 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Schedule II)(Oxycodone and Hydrocodone), and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Schedule IV)(Alprazolam).
Smith is being held at the McGehee Criminal Justice Facility.
