Star City Ark School District Statement On Monday's Solar Eclipse

On Monday August 21st 2017, all of North America will experience an eclipse of the sun. In Star City, the event will start at approximately 11:50 a.m. Maximum coverage of the sun will happen for around 2 minuets at 1:20 p.m. The eclipse will end in our area around 2:49 p.m. Total coverage will be a little greater than 86%. This will not be enough for it to get completely dark. But it will be noticeably gray in color.
