This morning Desha County Sheriff’s Office along with the 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Monticello Police Department, Monticello PD K-9 Cezar, and McGehee Police Department executed 2 separate search warrants in McGehee.
We served arrest warrants for 2 local drug dealers for delivery of methamphetamine and seized over a quarter ounce of ice methamphetamine and approximately a quarter pound of marijuana. This stemmed from a weeks long investigation to illicit drug sales and trafficking in our county. Along with the illegal narcotics, also siezed was a firearm and suspected drug proceeds.
With the information and intelligence gathered today,new arrest warrants will be obtained.
