Today was an eventful day at the City of Lake Village. We had a group of youth who are participating in the Alex Foundation Summer Architecture and Design Camp to visit City Hall for a tour and walk through history. I had the pleasure of giving them the tour and narrating history of the Tushek Building. The youth were amazed at the amount of original materials the city used in the rehabilitation of the building.
Additionally, the Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge was also at City Hall for one of her Rural Community Roundtable Talks which she travels throughout the state every year to meet with local leaders and community members to discuss important issues affecting the communities and how she can help.
It was a great day for these youth to take their tour of City Hall and a great opportunity for them to meet the Attorney General who is our states first female Attorney General!
We would like to thank Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, Angela Courtney with the Alex Foundation, and Amy Milliken from the Department of Arkansas Heritage for visiting the City of Lake Village today.
