ASHLEY COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION PROCLAMATION AND DESIGNATION OF POLLING PLACES

WHEREAS, the Ashley County Election Commission does hereby call the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in Ashley County, Arkansas, for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices specified below, and

WHEREAS, the Ashley County Election Commission of Ashley County, Arkansas, is required by law to issue a proclamation setting forth the vote centers for said General Election and to notify the qualified voters of the county of the matters to be presented on the ballot for their consideration:

NOW, THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

1. That there will be a General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

2. That the voting centers for said General Election in said county are as follows:

A. First Baptist Church MMC Building, 703 Pine Street, Crossett, Arkansas 71635
B. Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1533 Hwy 52-West, Crossett, Arkansas 71635
C. Jarvis Chapel Church, 1018 Ashley Road 14-North, Crossett, Arkansas 71635
D. Trinity Freewill Baptist Church, 803 Ashley Road 95, Hamburg, Arkansas 71646
E. Fountain Hill Methodist Church, 100 Mulberry Street, Fountain Hill, Arkansas 71642
F. First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 202 South Main Street, Hamburg, Arkansas 71646
G. Montrose Senior Center, 305 E 2nd Street, Montrose, Arkansas 71658
H. Portland Community Center, 102 Ash Street, Portland, Arkansas 71663

3. That the ELECTION DAY voting will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

4. That EARLY Voting will be held at the Ashley County Clerk’s Office, 205 E Jefferson Street, Suite #5, in Hamburg, Arkansas 71646, and at the Crossett Economic Development Community Building, 105 West 2nd Avenue in Crossett, Arkansas 71635, beginning Monday, October 19th through Friday, October 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Monday, October 26th through Friday, October 30th from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, October 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; ending Monday, November 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The location of the opening, processing, canvassing, and counting of absentee ballots will be the Ashley County Courthouse.

1% SALES AND USE TAX
Adoption of a one percent (1.00%) local sales and use tax within the City of Parkdale, Arkansas, the net collections of which after deduction of the administrative charges of the State of Arkansas and required rebates, to be used by the City for any purpose for which the City’s general fund may be legally used.
