The opening set began with NWOSU jumping ahead 2-0 on the Blossoms. For a majority of the match, both teams put up a good fight, but the Rangers seemed to have a set win on lock. The Rangers came out hot in the second set, starting the game off with a 7-0 rally to take an early lead. The Blossoms climbed their way back into it with a 6-1 series to bring the game back to 8-6. Both teams found multiple multi-point spreads as the match continued, as neither team was able to pull ahead. With the Rangers up 24-23, NWOSU would score the final point to take a 25-23 in set two.

For the third set in a row, Northwestern Oklahoma State was the first team on the board as they took a 2-0 lead over the Blossoms.
