
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello softball team traveled to Tahlequah, Oklahoma for a mid-week doubleheader against Northeastern State University on Wednesday. The Blossoms came out of the first game with a 6-5 win over the RiverHawks after going into extras, followed by a 15-3 loss in the second game of the doubleheader.
Game 1, 10 Innings
Northeastern State: 5, Arkansas-Monticello: 6

Scoring Recap:
Northeastern State was the first team to put runs on the board, scoring a run in both the first and third innings to take a 2-0 lead over the Blossoms.
Kammie Walker responded in the fourth with an RBI double to left field to make it a 2-1 ball game.
A solo home run and an RBI double in the bottom of the inning would give the home team a 4-1 lead over Arkansas-Monticello.
UAM found two runs in the top of the fifth when Sophie Wood drove in a run on a SAC fly, followed by an RBI single up the middle from Bailey Camp. The RiverHawks would came back with their final run of the game in the bottom half of the inning.
Two Blossom runs, courtesy of an RBI single from Adrianna Erichsen and a double from Kennedy Cox to drive in Erichsen, would tie the game at 5-5.
After battling it out in extra innings, Bailey Camp would drive in the winning run in the tenth on an RBI single up the middle.
The game would finally come to an end in the tenth after the RiverHawks were unable to respond, ending in a 6-5 Blossom victory!
Game 2, 5 Innings
Northeastern State: 15, Arkansas-Monticello: 3

Scoring Recap:
Northeastern State struck first again in game two, scoring one run in the first to give them an early lead.
Bailey Camp was the first Blossom to cross the plate, scoring on a ground ball from Madison Gardner in the second to even the score at 1-1.
The RiverHawks found three runs in the second and another in the third, but the Blossoms found two more runs in the fourth to make it a 5-3 game.
Unfortunately, UAM was unable to find another run after NSU found nine runs in the bottom half of the inning.
The game would conclude after five innings with Arkansas-Monticello falling 15-3 to the RiverHawks.
Pitching Performances
Game 1
– Sam Stephens started in the circle in game one, throwing 5.0 innings with 10 runs allowed on 12 hits. She also struck out two batters.
– Kayla Olthouse grabbed the win in her 5.0 innings of relief, allowing 0 hits and 0 runs with a strikeout in her outing.
Game 2
– Maguire Estill grabbed a start in game two, tossing 3.1 innings with 3 runs allowed on 5 hits. She also struck out a batter.
– Sam Stephens closed out the final 0.2 inning of the game. She allowed 5 runs on 5 hits.

Game 1
– Kennedy Cox – 4-for-5 with 2 Doubles, 1 RBI and 1 Run Scored
– Bailey Camp – 2-for-5 with 2 RBI
– Adrianna Erichsen – 3-for-5 with 2 Runs Scored and 1 RBI

The split on the day pushes Arkansas-Monticello to 14-13 on the season.
