Calhoun County Arkansas Sheriff Department Makes Third Arrest In D&J Construction Burglary Suspect Located In Decatur Georgia

On May 28, 2019 the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at D&J Construction
on Highway 167 North. Multiple tools and pieces of equipment were taken from the property on the
night of May 27, 2019. During the course of the investigation two individuals were taken into
custody and charged with the burglary after property belonging to D&J Construction was found on
their property by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. After further investigation into the matter, on
or about July 14, 2021 it was determined that there was a third individual involved in the burglary
identified as Raymond Allen Bartlett. Bartlett was a resident of Calhoun County at the time of the
Burglary and it was made known that shortly after the burglary he fled the county and may have
been heading back to the Atlanta Georgia area. On July 19, 2021 Chief Deputy Foster received a
warrant of arrest for Bartlett and contact was made with multiple departments in the Atlanta area. On
May 12, 2022 Bartlett was taken into custody in Decatur Georgia by the Dekalb county Sheriff’s
Office. A waiver of extradition was signed and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was notified for
transport. On May 15, 2022 Raymond Bartlett was transported back to Calhoun County and booked
on the charges of Commercial Burglary, Theft of a Vehicle Valued at $25,000 or more, Theft
Greater than $5,000 but less than $25,000 and Theft of a Vehicle Valued at $5,000 or less but
greater than $1,000. Bartlett was taken for a first appearance and given a bond of $35,000.00.
