The City Of Crossett Arkansas are so excited to announce The City of Crossett was awarded a $300,000 Community Development Block Grant from Arkansas Economic Development Commission to make vital upgrades at our EC Crossett Youth Center! We are especially proud of receiving this highly competitive award because it was our second submission after being declined the first time. Tenacity and an focused effort on continuous improvement paved the way for this success with the second attempt. These funds are slated to be utilized to build a desperately needed new roof, install new windows, new floors, painting inside and out including carpentry repairs, and upgrades to the bathrooms including those for ADA compliance and accessibility. These repairs and upgrades will breathe new life into this historic building! This success was made possible by tremendous teamwork with Crossett Economic Development Foundation, Southeast Arkansas Economic Development District Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality and my office.
