The City of Monticello will be flushing the water lines on June 2nd and June 3rd. On June 2nd, the lines from 278 South will be flushed starting at 10PM and on June 3rd, they will be flushing the lines from 278 North starting at 10PM. This goes for the whole city.
If you have clothing or dishes to wash, get them done before 10PM. Depending on the temperatures on those days, the water department may start earlier in the day and put diffusers on the hydrants around town in residential neighborhoods only, to allow kids and adults to play in the water. We ask that you watch for pedestrians when approaching an area where a hydrant is located.
