There is a rumor going around that the City of Monticello has some bacteria in the water that makes it unsafe to drink and use for other purposes. Our water is tested DAILY and the Arkansas Health Department would contact us immediately if we had unsafe water. The rumors are FALSE.
You may request a Consumer Confidence Report from the water office. There is also one attached to this story above.
