Shortly before noon today The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an abandoned vehicle parked at a vacant building on HWY 167. Deputies arrived and found a vehicle parked underneath a carport with a door to the building partially opened. While clearing the building deputies located two individuals asleep inside. Both individuals were arrested and transported to the Dallas County Jail. During a search of the vehicle deputies located 5 firearms of which 4 had been reported stolen as well as ecstasy and methamphetamine.
Jason Lindsey of Fordyce is being held on the following charges
Theft by receiving X4
Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms
Possession of meth with intent
Possession of a schedule I with intent
Possession of a firearm by certain persons
Misty Pennington of Camden was arrested for the following
Criminal Trespassing
