
On March 25th 2023 Deputy Reshawn Bledsoe was patrolling on U.S. Highway 65 in Dumas when He initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by 63 year old Randall Williams of Dumas. After conducting a probable cause search of the vehicle, Deputy Bledsoe discovered a glass jar containing Marijuana, a glass pipe, a bag of Methamphetamine, and a 9mm handgun. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Dumas City Jail, where he was booked in for Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Sunday, March 26th, the Desha County Sheriff’s Office worked along side of the McGehee Fire Department at the McGehee Wal-Mart, to collect supplies for the tornado victims in Mississippi. The two agencies, along with the Dermott Fire and Eudora Fire Departments, delivered the supplies to Belzoni Mississippi, to assist the victims in Silver City and Rolling Fork.
