If you are a registered voter in Desha County you can vote at any polling place which are now called vote centers. This means every location can pull up your particular ballot. You can do this at all future elections as well. We actuality started this a couple of years ago………..We have one minor change In Dumas .St. Peter’s Rock Church has let us know due to Covid pandemic they will not be allowing voting at their site this election season in which we understand . (We will be sending new letters to those pollworkers on where to report to work) The church across the street, Holy Temple will be allowing us to use their facility. The commissioners have agreed to that location. The room is smaller than the space at St. Peter’s Rock so please plan accordingly; however we are grateful and very appreciative. The Dumas Community Center and McGehee Muncipal Building are the largest spaces we have ,and remember anybody registered to vote in Desha County can vote there as well. The Dumas Community Center and McGehee Municipal Building will have 5 days of early voting beginning Mon October 26th- Friday October 30th. 8:00 to 6:00. Election Day hours on Tuesday Nov 3rd are 7:30 to 7:30. On Election Day any Desha County registered voter can vote at the following places: Dumas Community Center, The Holy Temple Church in Dumas, McGehee Municipal Bldg, Union Chapel Church in McGehee, Arkansas City Hall, Mitchellville City Hall, Reed City Hall, and Watson City Hall. As always the courthouse will have early voting two weeks before the election in Arkansas City as well.
