
SHERIFF’S WEEKLY REPORT:
On 3/12/2023 at 8:25 p.m., Deputy Reshawn Bledsoe made a traffic stop on Hwy 65 at Waterman street in Dumas on a passenger car, that was being driven by 34 year old Jessica Hardy of Hamburg. After a probable cause search of the vehicle, Deputy Bledsoe discovered three baggies of suspected Methamphetamine, and a pipe. Hardy was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, and transported to the Dumas City Jail.
On 3/15/2023, while Deputy Brandon Posey was attempting to serve a warrant at a home on Rankin Street in Dumas, when he observed drug paraphernalia laying in plain view. Upon further investigation Deputy Posey discovered used needles and a spoon, that had what appeared to be Methamphetamine residue in them. 33 year old Danny Stevens, 62 year old Mickey Allen, and 41 year old Tara Cox, were all cited with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Cox was found to have an outstanding warrant from Omaha Nebraska, while Allen had warrants out of Lincoln County.
All members of the Sheriff’s Office worked this past weekend, and partnered with Dumas P.D. to give the patrons of the Hood-Nic festival a safe environment. Deputies responded to 9 calls for service, and collectively worked 128 hours during the weekend.
We also appreciate the efforts of our partners at the 10th District Drug Task Force, who have been working diligently to remove drug dealers, and slow down the sale of illicit drugs in our County.
