
On Monday Jan. 2nd a ATV (side by side) was reported stolen from Widmer Lane. Information lead us to Gould, where we recovered the ATV, and developed suspect information. Within two hours, we had the suspect in custody, and incarcerated in the Dumas Jail. Special thanks to the Gould P.D., The Lincoln County S.O., and the Dumas P.D. for their assistance in the manhunt.
Later that afternoon, Chief Deputy Jonathan Byrd received information that lead him to a location off Hwy 54, where he recovered a truck that had been reported stolen from a business in McGehee, on Dec. 30th, 2022.
On Thursday night, Jan. 5th, just before midnight, Deputy Wayna Green initiated a traffic stop in Kelso on a suspicious vehicle for a traffic violation. After a consensual search of the vehicle, Deputy Green located suspected Methamphetamine, that was packaged for delivery. The driver was arrested, and incarcerated at the Dumas Jail.
On Saturday night, Jan. 7th, Deputy Reshawn Bledsoe initiated a traffic on a vehicle on U.S. Hwy 65 at Mitchellville. After a consensual search of the vehicle, Deputy Bledsoe located suspected Methamphetamine. The driver was incarcerated in the female unit of the Lincoln County Jail.
Our Deputies drove hundreds of miles last week, and made numerous property checks.
On Friday, January 6th, our Deputies were requested by Dumas P.D. to assist them with a saturation in the Dumas area. We will always stand ready to assist our City Police Departments.
