
According to Drew County Arkansas Sheriff Mark Gober on June 17th 2022 DCSO deputy Allen Edwards conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on HWY 278 W near Wilmar, AR.
Two back seat passengers, Marcus Finks and Devonta Sterling both of Warren, AR had bench warrants from different counties.
Finks and Sterling were placed in handcuffs. Sterling had an empty handgun holster in his waist band.
Sterling advised deputy Edwards the handgun was under the seat. The driver and front passenger were asked to step out of the vehicle.
K9 Aiko was deployed for a free air sniff of the vehicle. K-9 Aiko alerted positive to the order of narcotics.
Arkansas State Police Trooper Tyler Grant and DCSO Deputy John Herrington assisted in a search of the vehicle.

Deputy Herrington discovered a marijuana pipe and 8 pills in the front seat area. Devonta Sterling was charged with possession of meth or cocaine, possession of firearm by certain persons and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Finks was charged with possession of meth. Sterling appeared before Judge Crews Puryear for a first appearance and his bond was set at $15,000 commercial bond.
