On August 25, 2022 members of the Drew County Sheriff’s Department and an agent with the
Arkansas Parole and Probation conducted a welfare check of a residence on Brixie Road. Joseph
Donaldson. a resident of the home, is a convicted felon with a search waiver on file. During a
search of the residence Deputies seized a .22 caliber rifle, a .380 caliber handgun, a set of digital
scales, a glass pipe commonly used for smoking meth and a clear plastic bag containing a white
crystal substance believed to be methamphetamines. On August 26, 2022 the Sheriff’s Office
received information of more firearms and drugs located in Donaldson’s home. Investigators
returned to the residence and conducted a second search and found two (2) firearms and a clear
plastic bag containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamines. Donaldson, age
38 of Drew County, was arrested during the first search of the residence and charged with
Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of firearms by
certain persons and Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. On August 26, 2022
Donaldson appeared before Judge Robert Gibson for a first appearance and his bond was set at
$50.000.
