Dumas AR EMS & FD Respond To 18 Wheeler Pushes Car Off Road On US HWY 65 2 Miles N Of Winchester AR

At 2:23 pm Dumas Arkansas EMS was paged out a 18 wheeler that pushed a car off the road on US HWY 65 Southbound 2 miles north of Winchester. At 2:24 pm Dumas Arkansas Fire Department rescue was paged out to a vehicle accident with an 18 Wheeler pushed a car off the road on US HWY 65 Southbound 2 miles North Winchester. At 2:25 pm Dumas Arkansas EMS was paged out to the scene for possible injuries. According to eye witness at the scene A Toyota sedan was traveling south on 65 just south of Pickens when according to an eyewitness that it was ran off the road by an 18-wheeler. The car moved over to avoid getting hit but encountered loose gravel and lost control. It struck the 18-wheeler and hit a culvert, which launched the car around 20 feet into the air, crashed into a power pole and landed on all wheels in the field. The driver suffered some cuts and was transported to Delta Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. The 18-wheeler was pulled over by police in McGehee.
