On Friday 6/4/2021, Sgt. Crystal Martin conducted a traffic stop of a 2004 Mazda MZ3 gray in color. During the course of the stop and subsequent vehicle search by; Sgt. Martin, Inv. Armstrong and Ofc. Green, the male passenger was placed under arrest for active warrants. The passenger was also found to be in possession of psychedelic mushrooms. The vehicle’s driver was detained because the odor of marijuana was detected. The driver was found to be in possession of 32.5 grams of meth. A search of the vehicle lead to the discovery of 5 firearms, 2 pellet rifles and a cross bow. A meth pipe with residue and marijuana was also located. Both driver and passenger were booked into the Dumas Jail where they await First Appearance and Probable Cause Hearings.
