On Friday, January 13th, 2023, the Dumas Police Department and the 10th Judicial Task Force completed a drug investigation that began in December 2022. Evidence gathered from this investigation led to the arrest of Darius Baker of Dumas, AR, on several drug-related charges. Several simultaneous searches were conducted at multiple locations bringing this investigation to a conclusion. Dumas Police Department and the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force were aided: by Desha County Sheriff’s Office, McGehee Police Department, Drew County Sheriff’s Office and Probation/Parole Officers. K9s from both McGehee and Drew County assisted in this joint enforcement operation. Local law enforcement agencies have committed to making Southeast Arkansas a safe area for every citizen. Moving forward, we pledge; to improve the quality of life in each area we serve.
The following items were seized during the conclusion of this investigation: 795 grams marijuana, 40 grams cocaine, 49 grams meth, 25 grams crack, 162 oxycodone, 136 Ecstasy pills, 2 guns, and $1905 cash
