On Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 at approximately 6:00PM, Officers with the Dumas Police Department along with Desha County Sheriff Office apprehended 22 year old Khalid Benton of Dumas following an incident which officers were called. Mr. Benton has been charged with Terroristic Act and Discharging Firearm from a Vehicle. Mr. Benton also had an active Felony Warrant for Battery 1st Degree from an incident back in 2020. He is currently awaiting for a first appearance.
