At 6:42 pm this evening a 911 was received, saying a subject had been stabbed on Delta Queen Street in Arkansas City. Moments later Desha County Deputies and a State Park Ranger was on scene, and located the suspect. After having to use force, the suspect was taken into custody. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no further danger to the public. Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigations have been called in at my request, to conduct the homicide investigation. More information will soon follow in a press release.
