On March 13th Officer Haynes conducted a traffic stop on HWY 65 N for a vehicle speeding at 59 MPH in a 49 MPH zone. As Officer Haynes approached the vehicle she noticed a strong odor of green marijuana which was a probable cause to search the vehicle. Officer Haynes advised the driver Ilicia Figures that the vehicle was going to be searched if there was anything Officer Haynes needed to know about (for officers safety) the passenger Michale Hatton handed Officer Haynes a full bag of marijuana (joints) and stated that there was nothing els in the vehicle. Officer Haynes then notified Chief Kenneth Tillman, Officer Haynes need assistances to search the vehicle and all four occupants. The other two passengers were Kenneth Smith & Madalyn Johnson. Upon Chief Tillman’s arrival he requested K9 Officer John Fallis to assist, The K9 indicated a hit upon the search Chief Tillman located a large amount of various drugs found in multiple backpacks. 5.9 grams marijuana in a grinder, 21.8 grams marijuana in a zip lock bag, 7.9 grams of marijuana in a glass jar, 5.9 grams-4 joints, small glass jar of marijuana butter, 7.1 grams meth in small clear bag, 2.2 grams meth in glass jar for 22.2 grams of mushrooms and 30.7 grams of mushrooms. $1900 in cash & large amount of drug paraphernalia along with a large amount of undetermined drugs to be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification and weight. All four subjects denied any knowledge of owning or having any part of the narcotics. All four subjects were arrested and charged with 3 counts of possession of controlled substance Class C Felony (meth) Class B Felony (mushrooms) Class D Felony (marijuana). One count of possession of drug paraphernalia Class D Felony.
