South Ark Weather, LLC is a locally owned by a Monticello Arkansas entrepreneur.
Meraki Flair Salon & Boutique started off as a dream of a young entrepreneur, Cassie Daws Kelley.
Cassie finished cosmetology school in 2013 with the help of her husband, Garrett Kelley, and while being a full time Mom to two boys, Tylasin and Lynndon.
She began working at Flawless Salon in Hamburg where she eventually took the business over. She successfully ran Flawless for 3 years, but never lost the desire to start her own business.
In 2017, Meraki Flair, became more than a dream, it became a reality. She chose the name Meraki because of its meaning, “Doing something with soul, creativity, or love – when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be”.
Cassie moved to her current location on the square in Hamburg and opened Meraki Flair, a boutique and salon. While opening she also had her third child, Kymbree.
Cassie said, “I am so thankful for my husband and family who have been my biggest supporters, handy men, decorators, movers and so much more. Not to mention my customers. Without everyone, I wouldn’t be able to live out my dream”!
In 2019, Meraki Flair opened two new locations in Crossett and Lake Village Marketplace.
Meraki Flair is a full service salon with stylists Cassie Kelley, Angela Haynes, Cathy Oden and Lexie Nichols. The boutique side is full of jewelry, clothing, bags and gift items. It truly is a one stop shop.
Cassie chose Hamburg for her business because she wanted to bring more salon and boutique options to Hamburg. She is a driving force in the community serving on the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Team and PIE at her boys’ school, Noble Elementary.
Cassie ended with, “There will be more to come, my story is not over. There is always more up my sleeve”.
We wanted to say THANK YOU, Cassie for all you do for our town. We are so lucky to have you and your businesses in Hamburg!
