Morris Transportation Services, LLC was founded in July of 1998 by brothers Mark & Mike Morris in a small office in Mark’s home. Since then, Morris Transportation has grown to employ over 70 people and runs 50 trucks and 120 dry van trailers that haul freight all over the continental United States.
Owner Mark Morris is a 1984 graduate of Hamburg High School, and obtained his Business Degree from Ouachita Baptist University in 1988. After working for several trucking companies after college, Mark decided to branch out and open his own. He has been an active board member for the Arkansas Trucking Association for fifteen years, and will be named Chairman of the Board next month at the ATA’s annual convention. His son, Logan, also works at Morris Transportation and helps in the Safety Department as well as the shop.
About owning a small business in Hamburg, Mark Morris says the following: “I am proud to come back home and have a business that helps the community where I grew up. I get to work with people I know and see familiar faces each day. Thank you to my great employees and drivers for working hard each day to keep America moving, especially during the pandemic.” When he is not trucking, Mark enjoys watching sports, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Karen, children Kristin and Logan, and daughter in law, Tori.
