The Little Rock FBI Office has released a GENERAL AWARENESS STATEMENT related to information they received concerning a possible threat of a school shooting in Kentucky (August 28) and Arkansas (August 29). The FBI could not confirm the source and only stated it was traced to
a video game played with an out of country source that has not been identified.
Hamburg School District, Hamburg Police Department and the Ashley County Sheriff’s Department are not aware of any specific threat involving our school district.
We assure you that safety is our first priority. Your child’s safety is important to us. We will continue to work together to assure that ALL students and personnel are safe on August 29 and every day.
