Have you noticed a new storefront on the square? We are so excited to have Sophi Roberts back home with her new warehouse The Twisted Pelican on Hamburg Square.
Sophi started screen printing in 2010 at Southeast Sports then later at 2@T in Hamburg. She then decided to branch out and start her own printing business. In 2016 The Twisted Pelican was born. She put in a store front in Crossett, AR and began selling her shirts. The Twisted Pelican then began supplying t-shirts to boutique owners. As The Twisted Pelican grew, Jacob (Sophi’s Husband), encouraged her to move her warehouse to Hamburg, his hometown.
This brings us to today, where The Twisted Pelican proudly sits on Hamburg Square where they mostly do wholesale t-shirt orders to boutiques and occasionally print local orders.
Sophi stated, “When thinking about The Twisted Pelican’s future, I felt the urge to move my wholesale business to Hamburg. Hamburg is very special to me and my son, Briar, attends Hamburg School District. I can’t praise HSD enough. Hamburg is growing and the Economic Development Team is pushing Hamburg forward. This is something I am excited about and want to be a part of. The sense of belonging and the beautiful Hamburg square, just made sense for my business and its future. I am proud to be a business owner in Hamburg”.
