On October 19,2023 a report was taken of stolen guns from a residence on Olive Street. After speaking to the victim a suspect was named. The name given was Devan Daniels of Fordyce.
After further investigation a warrant was issued for Daniels. The next morning Daniels was taken into custody by the Fordyce police department. Daniels was transported back to Calhoun county jail for questioning.
After further investigation into the matter it was determined that Daniels had stolen the guns and sold them to a subject in Ouachita County. The guns were recovered and are being held as evidence.
