Keith Wells of Monticello is seeking re-election to the Monticello School District, school board, zone 2. Wells stated, “I have served the children of Monticello, their parents, and this community for 12 years. It is my intention to continue because there is a lot more work to get done.” Wells stated that he was instrumental is passing three millages of which will be used to erect a new Monticello Billie gym.
Wells is a husband, father and businessman. His son, Keith Jr., has signed an intent to play as a Boll Weevil at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He stated, “This direction shows the care that I have for this community, including on the college level. These children are my heart. I am sentimental about my job because it was Monticello Schools and its leaders who gave me a chance to be who I am today. I want to pass those chances on to these beautiful children of our town.”
Accumulating over 200 hours in ASBA hours, Wells was awarded outstanding board member in 2011, Master board member in 2012, and the Pinnacle award in 2019. Wells continues to progress in leadership as he was instrumental in becoming a liaison between the school district and the community to launch character building days. “I am not just another board member; I am involved and I am not afraid to speak when necessary for my community. My work speaks for itself.”
“My work goes beyond the school district so that I can help my school district. I work on a state level and attend workshops and events that will help me, help others. I believe a vote for Keith Wells is a vote for progress!” he concluded.
