A crowd of an even fifty gathered Tuesday night at the Star City Civic Center for first quarterly open meeting of the Lincoln County Firefighters Association. Southeast Lincoln County Fire Chief Blake Morgan presided over the gathering that featured keynote speaker Bobby Franklin, retired Little Rock firefighter and organizer of the Arkansas Fire Museum. Barbecue pork, provided by Grady Fire Department, was the highlight of the meal put together by the member departments.
The LCFFA is comprised of the 10 Fire Departments that serve Lincoln County. The association’s goal is to promote better working relationships among the departments and their firefighters.
The next open meeting of the LCFFA will be in October.
