
According to Drew County Arkansas Sheriff Mark Gober on Tuesday June 14th 2022, an individual was reported to the sheriff department that his vehicle was shot at as he was driving down HWY 278 near Wilmar, Arkansas.
The vehicle was struck several times including the passenger side front tire. During the course of the investigation Zy Tavious Chavis age 20 of Wilmar, Arkansas was identified as a suspect in the case.
Judge Bruce Anderson signed an arrest warrant for Chavis. Based on a tip called in to the Drew County Arkansas Sheriff Office. Chavis was arrested at a Little Rock Arkansas resident by the Little Rock Arkansas Police Department.
On Tuesday July 7th 2022, Chavis appeared before Judge Crews Puryear for a first appearance. Chavis bond was set at $50,000.
Chavis bonded out of jail. The investigation is ongoing and other arrests are expected in the case.
