The Little Rock FBI office issued a general awareness statement regarding information related to a possible school shooting in Arkansas on August 29th. The FBI stated that it is an unsubstantiated threat.
The McGehee School District has not been named and we are not aware of any specific threat involving our district or any other Arkansas school district. We will be in contact with the McGehee Police Department and the MSD SRO.
From what I’ve seen, this threat came from outside the USA and has not been substantiated. However, the safety of our students, faculty and stakeholders is very important.
We will continue to be proactive each and every school day in regards to such threats.
