Summer Reading Week 2: Community Helpers👮🏻♂️👨🏾⚕️👩🏻🏫🧑🏽🚒
This week, we learned who our community helpers are. We had several speakers, including officers from the McGehee Police Department and Desha County Sheriff’s Office, medical professionals from McGehee Hospital and Mainline Health Clinic, and our local firefighters/paramedics! Help us send a huge thank you to our community helpers who volunteered their time to share information about how they assist the citizens of our community!
Our Summer Reading Theme this year is “All Together Now,” and each week we are learning how our community helps us, and how we can help our community. In honor of “Community Helpers” week, the children made thank you cards to deliver to our local community helpers, to show appreciation for all they do for us.
