EL DORADO, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello men’s golf team closed out the first day of the 2022 Arkansas Collegiate Tournament on Monday afternoon at the Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Arkansas. UAM closed out the first day of the tournament in thirteenth place, with two individuals competing as well.
Jacob Gallas is competing individually in the event and led the Weevils in day one. He finished tied for 37th place, shooting an 85 in his first round and a 75 in the second.
Andrew Pearson closed out the first two rounds of the tournament tied for 51st. Throughout those two rounds played, he carded a 79 in the first round and an 85 in the second.
Chase Gedak came out of the first day shooting an 80 in the first round, followed by an 86 in round two. He finished day one of the tournament tied for 56th.
Owen Page finished the day tied for 64th place. He shot an 84 in round one, followed by another 84 in round two.
TJ Baker started out the event with a first round 90. He finished round two with an 86. He finished the day in 71st place.
Ethan Bearden is in 72nd place. He shot an 88 in round one and a 92 in his second round.
Bailey Dooley is also competing individually in the event, finishing the first day of the tournament in 73rd place. He carded a 96 in the first round, followed by an 85 in round two.
