HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello men’s golf team finished out the final day of the 2022 Battle for the Belt Tournament on Tuesday afternoon at the Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas. UAM closed out the first day of the tournament in eleventh place, and came out of the final day with a tenth place finish with two individuals competing as well.
Senior Andrew Pearson led the Weevils throughout the entirety tournament, closing out the first two rounds of the tournament tied for 30th. He shot a 74 in the first round, a 76 in the second, and another 74 in the final round.
TJ Baker started out the event with a first round 74 and finished round two with an 80. He finished the final round of the tournament with a 73 and an improvement to being tied for 33rd place.
Chase Gedak finished the day tied for 40th place. He shot a 75 in round one, followed by an 77 in round two and a 77 in round three.
Owen Page came out of the second day shooting a 78 in his third round, following his 76 and 75 from rounds one and two. He also finished the tournament tied for 40th.
Ethan Bearden left the tournament tied for 49th He shot a 75 in round one, an 82 in his second round, and a 78 in his third.
Jacob Gallas competed individually in the event and finished tied for 56th place, shooting an 81 in his first round, a 75 in the second, and an 83 in his third.
Bailey Dooley is also competed individually in the event, finishing the final day of the tournament tied for 58th place. He carded an 82 in the first round, followed by an 81 in round two, and a final round 77.
