At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, Mayor Paige Chase was presented with the “Making a Difference” award from the Drew County branch of the NAACP. Pictured below is Peggy Orr presenting the certificate to Mayor Chase.
“I was so honored and surprised to receive this award,” Chase said. “I hated that I could not attend the Annual Freedom Fund Scholarship Banquet this year but I was still recovering from my knee replacement surgery. I am proud of all the things our local NAACP accomplishes and am excited for the future.”
