9:34PM 11/1/23 MFD was dispatched to a semi trailer on fire at the old Burlington plant located on E. Jackson. FR1 and Engine 2 responded. The blaze was quickly extinguished. The trailer recieved damage to the rear section. No injuries reported.
While on scene, MFD was dispatched to a greenhouse fire on Speer St. Once on scene it was determined the fire was actually a burn pile at a neighboring house which made the greenhouse glow as if it was on fire. The fire was extinguished as we are still under a burn ban and the fire contained what appeared to be household trash. Arkansas State Air Pollution Control Regulations Section 18.6 (b) prohibits the open burning of waste materials.
