Packs of Hope, a local nonprofit that has been supporting our DC students for 10 years, is putting on a fundraiser, sponsored by Chris Bryant State Farm Monday, July 12th. They are selling $10 plates with chicken quarters, sides, and a roll to be picked up at lunchtime at Chris Bryant’s office. Packs of Hope delivers school supplies and hygiene items to Drew Central, Monticello, Warren, and Rison school districts, and they need your help to get funds for this upcoming school year!
If you’d like to get a ticket (or a few), Katie Taylor will be at the old Fred’s parking lot in Monticello this Friday, July 2nd at 12pm and 6pm and this Saturday, July 3rd at 12pm to hand out tickets. They prefer cash but also accept checks made out to Packs of Hope.
