We are so honored to partner with Drew Central Middle School again!
With the help of Simmons Bank the 8th grade Career Exploration & Finance Class for the 2021-21 school year will be able to take a tour of the UAM campus and be introduced to the possibilities what a college or two-year career and technical degree can offer an individual. These students will also head over to the Chick-fil-A on campus and enjoy a free lunch… this is my favorite part!
Secondly, the personal finance class has a day where individuals from the community come in and set up a mock business community, students must go through the community and purchase homes, rent apartments, pay for day care, buy or lease vehicles. And grocery shop. During this experience, they learn real-life lessons of what it costs to live on various salaries.
