SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS REGIONAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD MEETING MINUTES August 12, 2021

A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Southeast Arkansas Regional Solid Waste Management Board was held on August 12, 2021, in Monticello, AR.
Judge Jim Hudson called the meeting to order.
Judge Hudson asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes of the June 10, 2021, meeting, as presented. There being none, Judge Robert Akin moved they be approved. Seconded by Mayor Paige Chase. Motion carried.
Judge Hudson reported that the Financial Reports are in the board folders. Mayor Denisa Pennington moved they be approved. Seconded by Judge Robert Akin. Motion carried.
Judge Hudson called on Mr. Shane Knight for his report. Mr. Knight stated that the expansion project at the waste tire facility is on track to be completed next week, and this will fulfill the districts obligation on this project. He stated that the facility will now move into the final inspection from DEQ. He stated that he was able to get the project completed for a fraction of the original bid. He stated that Recycling Grant money is available, and to please contact your County Judge to request a Recycling Grant.
Judge Hudson requested a motion to approve the Letter of Intent from Engineer Deric Wyatt for a Class 4 landfill in Grant County. Judge Eddie Best made a motion to approve. Seconded by Mayor Joe Dan Yee. Motion carried.
There being no other business, Judge Robert Akin made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Judge Richard Tindall, and the meeting was adjourned.
