We had the most amazing Summer Reading morning at the library with special guests Corporal Liz Head from the AR State Police and her partner Crisis Response Dog “Hershey”! The kids learned a lot about K9 dogs, and how Hershey is very special, being only one of five of his kind in the nation. Everybody had a thousand questions for Corporal Head, enjoyed loving on Hershey, learned about police work, the State Trooper uniform traditions, Hershey’s daily work, and even went outside to inspect the K9 unit Hershey rides in.
The kids were also excited about their take home stress ball crafts – but would have preferred to rather take Hershey home! 😍
Thank you, Corporal Liz Head & Hershey! You guys were awesome!
