Last night at approximately 10:15 p.m., Deputy Reshawn Bledsoe was patrolling the area of Mitchellville, when he initiated a traffic stop on a tan 2001 Ford Crown Victoria, that was being driven by 31 year old Vincent King of Eudora. After acting nervously, King admitted to having Marijuana in the vehicle. When Deputy Bledsoe removed King from the vehicle, a bag containing 100 hydrocodine pills fell out of King’s pants leg. A bag of Marijuana was found in his pants pocket. Upon a search of the vehicle, Deputy Bledsoe discovered two bottles of Promethazine that was located in a McDonalds bag under the seat, along with a Glock model 31 handgun. King was transported to the Dumas City Jail, where he was booked for Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substances, Possession of Schedule V and VI Controlled Substances, and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms. $3800 cash was seized, as well as King’s vehicle. A first appearance bond hearing is pending. More poison has been removed from the streets of Desha County! This case will be under further investigation with our partners at the 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
