Weevils Finish Fifth at Lois Davis Invitational

The UAM men’s cross country team crossed the finish line fifth as a team at the Lois Davis Invitational hosted by SAU Friday in Magnolia, Arkansas.

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello men’s cross country team crossed the finish line fifth as a team at the Lois Davis Invitational hosted by SAU Friday.

The Weevils completed the course with a total time of 3:12:57 to finish in fifth place as a team.

The top runner for UAM was Bryce Johnson who landed with a top-20 finish after completing the event with a time of 28:58.

The next finisher for the Weevils was Gilberto Fernandez who placed 30th overall. Kyle Glover followed next finishing 38th.

Rounding out the group for UAM were Brandon Gurnsey and Collin Carroll who landed 45th and 47th overall.

The Weevils will compete in the Tiger Invitational hosted by Ouachita Baptist Friday, Oct. 1, in Arkadelphia, Ark.
