SHAWNEE, Okla. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s golf team earned its first victory of the fall season winning the OBU Fall Invitational hosted by Oklahoma Baptist at the Shawnee Country Club Tuesday. Worawalan Siwaiyapram led the Blossoms by finishing in a tie for the top individual in the tournament as UAM took the team title by three strokes.
The Blossoms posted a collective score of 630 to beat tournament host OBU by three strokes in the two-round event.
Four players for UAM ended in the top 10 as Siwaiyapram paced the Blossoms shooting rounds of 74 and 77 for a total of 151 to finish tied for first overall.
Gabriela Maldonado finished tied for third with a two-round total of 154 (77, 77). The next finisher for was Emilie Bergh-Jacobsen who landed in tied for fifth with rounds of 78 and 79 for a total of 157 playing as an individual. Also finishing in the top 10 was Chiara Sturaro who shot a total of 159 (84, 75) to end tied for seventh.
Rounding out the group for the Blossoms were Kensley Miller and Shehna Akbarywho tied for 12th overall each shooting a two-round total of 168.

UAM will compete in the NCAA Division II Central Region Preview hosted by Henderson State Oct. 10-11. The tournament will be held at the Hot Springs Country Club – Parker Course in Hot Springs, Ark.
