Jefferson County, Arkansas – December 20, 2021 – On December 19, 2021, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division (CID) was called to the scene of a homicide in the area of Wilbur West Road near Bayou Bartholomew.
The deceased victim has been identified as Laquavis Thomas, 20 years-of-age. Thomas was found to have suffered from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner to determine cause and manner of death.
