MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletics Department held a presentation in the newly renovated pool room focused on the future of the UAM Performance Center Campaign this past Saturday. UAM welcomed many sponsors, coaches, fans, and more access to learning more about the future of UAM Athletics.
UAM Chancellor, Dr. Peggy Doss and Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, Hud Jackson presented the current athletic department project, the Athletics Performance Center. A massive thank you is given to all of those in attendance and show interest in pushing athletics to a new level at the university.
Jackson had this to say after the event, “Really excited about the turnout for our presentation for the PCC. Everyone was in shock with the health and safety improvements to the area. Now we start the process of building a much-needed weight room and training room. Lots of the people present jumped on board by making a donation! We need more generous people to do the same.”

The University of Arkansas at Monticello Performance Center Campaign focuses on enhancing the support of student-athletes through major facility improvements. The $1.7 million project will overhaul the vacant space in Steelman Field House formerly home to an indoor pool.
Ultimately, the fully re-imagined facility will be transformed into a space that will include a 4,000 square foot weight room and a 3,000 square foot athletic training area. These are spaces that align with the quality facilities our exceptional student-athletes and prospective student-athletes deserve.
