MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s basketball team will play 13 regular-season home contests this upcoming season as Head Coach Markell Cox released the Blossoms’ 2021-22 schedule.
UAM opens the season in Missouri as the Blossoms will take on Upper Iowa University and Lincoln University (Mo.) on Nov. 12 and 13.
The Blossoms will open play inside Steelman Field House with a two-game home stand hosting University of Arkansas Fort Smith on Nov. 16 and Arkansas Baptist College in an exhibition on Nov. 18.
UAM will close the month of November with a trio of non-conference games against Delta State University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, and University of Texas at Tyler.
The Great American Conference slate begins for the Blossoms in December. UAM is scheduled to open league play on the road against Henderson State, Dec. 2.before hosting back-to-back contests against GAC foes Arkansas Tech (Dec. 4) and Harding (Dec. 11). One week later, UAM takes on Ouachita Baptist on the road (Dec. 18). The Blossoms wrap up the month of December at home against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Dec. 30.
The Weevils begin the new year with a home matchup with Northwestern Oklahoma State on New Year’s Day. UAM then hits a three-game road stretch with games against Southeastern Oklahoma State (Jan. 6), East Central (Jan. 8) and Southern Arkansas (Jan. 13). The Blossoms follow the road slate with a three-game home stand hosting Henderson State (Jan. 15), Southern Nazarene (Jan. 20) and Oklahoma Baptist (Jan. 22). UAM closes the month back on the road with trips to NWOSU (Jan. 27) and SWOSU (Jan. 29).
GAC-rival SAU visits Steelman Field House to open the final month of the regular season Feb. 3. The Blossoms are then scheduled to visit Arkansas Tech on Feb. 5, before returning home to battle East Central (Feb. 10) and Southeastern Oklahoma State (Feb. 12). On the final road trip of the regular season, UAM is scheduled to face Oklahoma Baptist (Feb. 17), SNU (Feb. 19) and Harding (Feb. 24). The Blossoms will wrap up the regular season by hosting Ouachita Baptist Feb. 26 for Senior Day at Steelman Field House.
The GAC Championship Tournament will be held March 3-6. The location of the tournament is to be determined.
