McFarlands Contribute $20,000 to UAM Athletics Legacy Campaign

MONTICELLO, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) has received a donation of $20,000 from Ronald and Betty McFarland to support the UAM Athletics Legacy Campaign.

The UAM Athletics Legacy Campaign focuses on enhancing the support of student-athletes through major facility improvements. The campaign aims to have 250 donors join each year, generating a yearly revenue of $250,000 toward improving various facilities. 

Hud Jackson, director of Athletics and head football coach at UAM, thanked the McFarlands, stating, “We are so grateful to the McFarland family for their generous donation to our Legacy Campaign. Mr. Ronnie and Mrs. Betty are great people who want to be part of the improvements to our athletic department and our football program. They have made a huge impact.”

“I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the McFarlands for their generous donation to the UAM Athletics Legacy Campaign,” stated Dr. Peggy Doss, chancellor of UAM. “Their contribution will significantly enhance the experience of our student-athletes at UAM and help us to improve our facilities. This is essential to our recruitment initiatives and will allow us to continue to provide our student-athletes with the resources they need to succeed both on and off the field.”
